 How to Rent Limo?

A.  The Fastest way is to Book it Direct by Calling (1 505 604-3392) then check availability and Reserve by putting a deposit down with a credit or debit card to hold the date and times you want.

The second way is to make a Reservation Online if booking an Airport run..

The third way is to Get Online Quote. Then as soon as you get your email Quote call (1 505 604-3392) to Book It by putting a deposit down with any major credit or debit card. Basically you are checking Availability for the vehicle, cost and times you want so as soon as you get your Quote call and Book It by putting down a deposit. Vehicle time slots are constantly being filled for same day and future dates and Reservations are on a first come first serve basis so by the time you check with everyone in your group your vehicle may be Booked this happens Alot. Once you get a sense from your guests/friends that you will be Booking a Limousine be prepared to tie it down for the date and times you want with a deposit by phone. It's easier and more common for the person planning the event or occasion to put down a deposit then get the others to pitch in with the booze, cash, tickets or whatever.

It generally depends on the event or occasion, for example, it is common for the Best Man in a Wedding to call in a Bachelor Party Limousine Reservation for a select group of about 8 and pay for it himself with or without the other Groomsmen contributing.

Q.  Where do I get Airport Rates?

A.  The Rates and Reservations pages of this site give you all the information you need to Book an Airport Transfer to or from Santa Fe online however if you are going somewhere else you can use the Get Quote tab or Call Direct 1 505 604-3392.

Q.  What is most commonly used and least expensive Limousine used for Weddings, Proms, Bachelorette/Bachelor Parties, Nights on the Town, Birthday Parties and Concerts these days?

A.  Lets start with Weddings; most people use Traditional White Stretch or Super Stretch Limousines because of both Cost and Pictures. Simply stated, you look better next to a Traditional White Stretch Limousine in Photographs than next to a big "truck" looking vehicle. Secondly, Cost; a Traditional White Limousine costs about half of of a Hummer or SUV that means you have more money left over for Dress, Honeymoon, Reception etc..  Of course, everyone wants to ride in the Limousine but if you Plan it right by selecting only the Mom and Dad on each side or the Best Man and his wife/girlfriend and Maid of Honor and her husband/girlfriend (VIPs) you save money. Also, if on a tight budget consider a Wedding Transfer or Two pickup and drop offs, only; where you still get the Pictures you want and the Limo Ride without the extra Waiting costs.  We are here to Help you Plan and figure out how to make it work for you. However, if you have an unlimited budget and want to please Everyone we have done Weddings with entire processions of Limousines.

On other types of runs the Objective must be considered. If the Objective is "Safety" and "Fun" without Risk of DWI or someone getting Hurt then you must seriously consider both a Professional Uniformed Chauffeur and appropriate Limousine along with a reasonable cost.  It is common for people to over do it especially when it comes to Celebrations and Events, perhaps not intentionally but it happens more often that you would think. For example: a Bachelor, Bachelorette Party, Girls or Guys night out, Night on the Town etc.; everyone meets at someone's house to have a few drinks before hitting downtown or the Clubs then jump in their vehicles and hit the bars and have a bit to much to drink. Yep you guessed it, DWI or worse. What is the cost? This could immediately end your Wedding Plans or worse.

Presently, it makes good sense to simply get a few good friends together in a Traditional low cost Stretch Limousine, split the cost and go have Fun without the risk. The current "Fad" of putting 12, 15, 20 or 30 people in one huge vehicle almost always leads to Not having as much Fun as more Intimate or Romantic numbers of 9/10 or less; which is your Objective to start.

Q. Why do you say larger numbers of people will not have as much Fun Vs. 9/10 or less?

A. Synergy. It's much easier to get 9/10 or less people in one Limousine to Agree, therefore, have more Fun; than 12, 15, 20 or 30 people. Simply stated, people have much more Fun when there is Harmony and/or Synergy among a reasonable number of people.

Q. How much is the deposit.

A. The deposit amount is credited to the total and is usually $100 for a traditional Stretch Limousines and doubles or more on the large vehicles depending on the total amount.

Q. How and when can I pay the balance?

A. The balance is paid by phone by credit or debit card before the date you schedule the Limousine pickup and can be run on your card or be paid directly to the Chauffeur upon his arrival for the pickup.

Q. Ok, once I call and make the reservation how do I know the reservation is complete?

A. You will be sent a detailed email Reservation Confirmation to review for accuracy. If there is an error you can email or call in the correction. Secondly, there may be information such as an address you don't know at the time you make the Reservation, you can still make the Reservation then email or call in the address later on.

Q. How does Online Reservation work?

A. You fill in the Reservation Form and click Submit then the Limo company checks availability for the date, times you want then sends a Confirmation email.

Q.  How do Limo Companies charge?

A.  A number of variables go into determining the charge.  For example: size vehicle, type of vehicle, number of passengers, pick-up location, number of hours needed. .  A Hummer or Party Bus will cost more than a Sedan or Stretch Limousine.  A pick-up across the State will be more than an in City pick-up due to drive time.  An event or occasion or holiday may require a minimum number of hours. It's best to call in your basic details and get a Quote based on your event or occasion details.

Q.  What information does the Limo company need in order to give me a price?

A.   Vehicles are booked on a first come first serve basis. Be ready with a credit/debit card to put a deposit to Reserve your vehicle.  When you call give the desired day, date, number hours, number of passengers, and type of event/occasion.  The reservation specialist will check vehicle availability for that date and times then tell you what he/she has available and the price. That price is only good for immediate booking.  If you call back the date and/or vehicle may no longer be available. Remember reservations are constantly being made..

Q.  Is my credit card charged the full amount before the run?

A.  You can either pay the deposit or the full amount when you call in then pay the balance before the run. Most companies will accept credit, debit or cash at any time before the run.

Q.  What if I'm not sure how many people will be coming?

A.  Estimate based on what you can afford. Set a maximum number of people you will be bringing along then Reserve your vehicle.  If less come no problem.  It's better to have more space than not enough space. Secondly, it's common for one or two to not show up. If more come they can drive and meet you there.

Q.  What if I don't know the difference between the various types of vehicles?

A.  Call your Limousine company, your Reservation Specialist is there to help you and to advise you as to what's available and will explain to you the difference in cost and size vehicles.

Q.  What if I want to go somewhere other than to the place(s) I originally said I wanted to go when I Reserved the vehicle?

A.  Check with your Chauffeur. Limo Companies book around your scheduled hours and if you need more time at the end of your run the time may or may not be available the Chauffeur will check with the Office or may already have a run scheduled after yours.

Q.  Isn't a Professional Chauffeur just a driver?

A.  No. You are paying for a very High Quality of Service. To become a Professional Chauffeur takes many years of experience. The Chauffeur profession has remained one of it not the most honorable professions in history. Example;  A recent news report of a Celebrity's Chauffeur in Hollywood who was held in contempt of court and went to jail instead of disclosing to the court any information about his Celebrity client. This is an example of the loyalty and trust between Chauffeur and client. Remember you are intrusting your life to the Chauffeur that he/she will secure you and your guest(s). His absolute focus on your safety and his skills in service and driving must be perfect. Imagine for a moment the distraction of 10 females in a bachelorette party on a 6 hour night on the town drinking after 6 hours, the Chauffeur must have absolute focus on the road and extreme self discipline. Imagine again some of the most powerful people in the world and the distraction and potential distractions that a Chauffeur interacts with on a regular basis then you begin to understand the level of service attained through years of experience to become a Professional Chauffeur. An interesting note; Weddings, some world religions hold the belief that a blessing to and from a  Chauffeur means a Perfect Marriage and good luck/fortune forever. A driver delivers pizza. I could write a book on this lol.

Q.  Is there a minimum number of hours?

A.  Yes. Each Limousine Company has minimums some are related to the event or occasion. For example; a Concert on a Saturday night may have a minimum number of hours or a Wedding. Some Limo Companies do "Transfers" this is where for example a Bride and Groom only need to be taken from Ceremony to Reception or a group wants to pitch in and be taken out to the Clubs downtown without having to worry about DWI. It takes just as much time and effort to prep for a 1 hour run as a 6 hour run. At American Limousine we try to be flexible to accommodate Your objectives.

Q.  What is the going sedan rate Albuquerque Airport to or from Santa Fe?

A.  Our Sedan rate is $140.00 and includes tax and all charges but does not  include tip, however, like the Airlines some Limousine companies have or may have "hidden charges" therefore it is always best to make your reservation direct by phone and ask for the Total charges that will be charged to your credit card so there are no surprises. For example; we help you with your bags as a common courtesy and always have but some companies may charge you a baggage fee not included in the quoted base price.

It is common to be charged for any extraordinary wait time such as, the plane arriving late (more than 1 hour). Flight status is monitored on the Airlines website but at some point a decision has to be made to dispatch your driver to the Airport and a Limo company can not be responsible for flight changes after the driver has been dispatched or for the accuracy of flight times given on the the Airlines website.

Q.  Is it better to deal directly with a Limousine Company or a Limo broker (a middle website)?

A.  Get your Quote from and make your Reservation Direct with the Limousine Company. The Limousine Company can give you all sorts of Special Considerations such as Limo time, discounts, champagne, price etc..

The Limo booking mills (websites that book limos all over the world) charge the Limo companies up to 15% extra to refer you *thru thier site" to the Limo company so the extra cost is passed back onto you the customer. This means the Limo company is being charged, for example; 15 percent extra so it does not or can not give you Special Considerations. That's basically the way it works and that is just one reason why it's always best to deal Directly with the Limo company.

Q.  On  Wedding Packages are the Red Carpet, Champagne, Just Married Signs, Ice and Bottled Waters Extra?

A.  No. All included if 21 and over.

Q.  If I want to tour New Mexico for a number of days or a week, is this possible?

A.  Yes.  Make arrangements with your reservation specialist. Ask about daily rates.

Q.  What if I book a Limo or Towncar then have to make changes?

A.  Easy, simply call your reservation specialist.

Article on How to Rent Limo for Prom........

By popular request during the last Prom Season, we will be addressing the question of How to Rent Limo for Proms, Graduations, Homecoming and the like. Misinformation regarding this issue has arisen due to two things; One, many people, including both parents and students have never rented an Albuquerque Limousine and Two, many look to the web as a source of information in order learn how to rent a limo and find sites or videos that explain how to rent limos in large cities.

Renting a Prom Limousine in a large city (L.A.) is different than renting a Limo in a smaller city. In New Mexico most smaller cities have no Limo service at all and have to rent Limos from Albuquerque. Small cities with no Limos often have Proms at the same time as Albuquerque. The number of Limos in Albuquerque and the Limo service in Albuquerque is therefore limited. Some people realize this while others do not the ones that do book way in advance in order to avoid being shut-out.

Every year a week or two before Prom frantic parents and students call for Limo service in Albuquerque only to find out that American Limousine and all other Albuquerque Limo rentals are "booked up". Disappointed parents who have promised sons and daughters a Limousine for Dinner and the Prom dance are devastated wondering how they are going to tell their sons and daughters that they hmmm how to say this politely shall we say "Forgot" to Book It earlier.

So yes, it would suffice to say that Limos in Albuquerque and Limousine service in Albuquerque is limited. This one contrast between smaller and larger cities is enough to demonstrate the dynamics of supply and demand. So lets go on.

Next issue is cost. There are basically two types of Albuquerque Limo Rental people. Those that can afford it and those that may be able to afford it with just a little assistance. It is important to describe the two types because misinformation coming from websites in larger cities sometimes builds the hopes of students falsely. Here's what actually happens, a parent or well to do student calls in and books a Limo on the spot without worry about cost leaving one less Limo available in a city that already has a limited number of Limos. Then other perhaps less well to do parents and/or students call wanting to rent an Albuquerque Limo.

This article is for the benefit of the second type of Albuquerque or New Mexico Limo Rental person. What to do if you want a Prom Limousine and need a little assistance. The good news is you can do it and here's how. First, keep your Prom group small or at least reasonable not more than 10 people, I repeat 10 or less passengers. Second, don't expect to find a K-Mart blue light special on Limousines there are none. Every Limo company is going to charge about the same price for the evening they are not going to rent out a Limo for an hour or a pickup and drop-off before and after the Prom they don't have to and they won't. The Limousine is tied up from when they first pick you up until they drop you off at the end of the night and they can't rent it out in between. So, here's what you do, get your Quote and make it happen.

Here's how some Prom Limos are rented in Albuquerque by just one ambitious student leading the charge. You've talked to a select small group of friends and parents about getting a Prom Limo. You've found a Limo that's available and a Quote that's Reasonable because your group is small (10 max.). If you go back to parents and/or friends and tell them that you found an H2 Hummer for about one thousand five hundred dollars plus your dinner etc. your mom may have a heart attack.

So first keep it Reasonable. Next the Albuquerque Limo company will require at least a $100 deposit by credit or debit card called in by a parent and the parents are responsible for the balance;  Then other parents of the group and/or the group pitch in directly to the parent making the Reservation.

This shared cost method has become very popular for Prom Limo service in Albuquerque and Statewide New Mexico within the last few years.
